Dimity Kidston is a Canberra-based textile and ceramic artist who designs bright handcrafted Sgrafitto ceramic homewares and unique hand woven tapestry pieces.
Coming from a family of artists, her interest in creating beautiful functional objects was developed at the Australian National University’s School of Art and the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland, where she studied textiles and ceramics.
Dimity is passionate about form and function, and creates unique, beautiful objects and homewares that are both decorative and durable. The motifs she uses in her work are naïve, bold and contemporary, often incorporating native Australian leaves, pods and flowers.
Dimity’s work can be found in homes and galleries in Australia and overseas.
