Craft ACT announces its new Executive Director

The Management Committee and staff of Craft ACT are pleased to announce the appointment of Avi Amesbury as the new Executive Director of Craft ACT.

Avi is a passionate advocate of the craft and design sector, with experience working in arts organisations including the Council for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and Craft Australia. Her experience and knowledge of Craft ACT, the craft and design sector, the local community and the national landscape, will make her a valued leader and manager for the organisation. Avi also brings to the role an artists' experience and perspective, as an established ceramic artist and acknowledged Craft ACT Accredited Professional Member.

The Management Committee and staff congratulate Avi on this appointment and look forward to working with her to continue the high quality programs and engagement that are synonymous with Craft ACT.

I am very excited to be joining Craft ACT, our national capital craft and design centre, and leading it into the next phase of its strategic direction. My aim is to engage closely and collaboratively with the membership to profile the region's craft and design to local, national and international audiences.
