Craft ACT Gallery 1+2: 1 - 3 February 2008

The innovative fashion and art of Jo Pickup filled the gallery at Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre for one weekend only, Saturday 2 - Sunday 3 February 2008.

Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre in partnership with local boutique Department of the Exterior, presented a whirlwind event showcasing the latest designs of Perth based artist Jo Pickup. Merging fashion and art the evening featured Pickup's Winter 2008 clothing range and a collection of her recent paintings,

Pickup's design focuses on simplicity, sophistication and originality. Not driven by today's trends, Pickup creates pieces that are timeless, functional and unique. All designs are hand-printed and tailored to flatter all body shapes and sizes. Pickup's clothing range are distinctive pieces of art created for those who cherish individual style and innovation in clothing.

This passion for individuality and timeless design are reflected in Pickup's original paintings. Pickup states that she "uses the medium of printmaking to build unique compositions which bind unlikely and often contrasting imagery together forming experimental works on paper, cloth and canvas."
